About John

John is from Champaign IL, where he attended the University of Illinois Laboratory High School. During his time in Champaign, he has worked on multiple research projects at the University of Illinois. He is a current second-year at the University of Chicago, pursuing a B.S. in Molecular Engineering on the Bioengineering Track.

In his free time, he likes to read, write, listen to music, and play basketball or soccer with his friends.

I would be a centrifuge, because I would get to spin round and round and round all day.

John's Research

John is working with Dr. Yixiao Dong on his project involving the synthesis of adaptive polymeric materials using piezoelectric nanoparticles.
